In Living Kolor and Gumpy Show Update

In Living Kolor seemed to go off without a hitch.  Here's a few links of the action, since I couldn't be there in person.

In Living Kolor at the Lot F Gallery in Boston

Gomusa

The Monster Kolor show "In living Kolor", is just a few days away now, and if I wasn't stuck in boring colorado, this is where I would be on Saturday.  There will be paint demos, customs painted with MK and even a chance to try out Matt Walker's (Dead Presidents Designs, Presidential Coatings & Cosmic Squadron) hydro urethane polymer.  The monster Kolor Community has joined together to celebrate, what we've all come to know as, the best airbrush and aerosol paint for kaiju, sofubi and resin.  But don't take my word for it, hit up the Lot F Gallery on October 8th, because if you paint it, you keep it!  Blanks have generously been donated by Max Toy Co and Onell, and more are promised.

Kaiju TriPus released by Max Toy Co.
I have sent away a few custom toys by M1go, Treeson and even Max Toy Co and Shikaruna/siccaluna Kuobo.   If you know me, you know I don't let go of Mark Nagata's or Shikaruna's figures easily, so you know how much I believe in the future of Monster Kolor.  Also, making his first appearance, my resin figure, Gomusa!  Lot F has two for the custom part of the show and he may rear his misshapen head in the form of a couple blanks as well.  A few HEKSToy originals, Bulgus and Borroh, will also be at the gallery and will be up for purchase starting October 8th.  If you're anywhere near Boston this saturday, be sure to stop by Lof F Gallery, for what is sure to be a killer event.

My submissions to the Gumpy Show

 - image from Kollectable Kulture Post
If you remember way back in February 2011, Gumpy Revolution (Jose Reynoso's project) was offering up 50 blank Gomi's (for free!!) to be customized for a show at Gunnzo, and now... The Gumpy Show is upon us!!  Jose Reynoso has been putting in a lot of hours, and it promises to be an extravaganza!  The show will be featuring custom Gumpy's by amazing artists such as Skinner, Paul Kaiju and Saner, just to name a few of my favorites. Also making their appearance on October 8th, are the 50 blank Gomi's returning from all over the country.  For those those lucky enough to attend, there will be food by Tabe, music and the first 20 people into the gallery will receive a limited edition print by Skinner! Sooo wish I could be there to score one of those...
The image above is part of my submission to the Gumpy show.  They are cast in solid resin, have articulated arms, removable heads and come with bags and headers.  I painted them with a combination of Monster Kolor and Auto-air, with MK's glorious clear coat laid down for the finish.  They are meant to be companion pieces to my Custom Gomi, which will be revealed on the night of the show.  If any of you are attending the event and can't pick me up a Skinner print, haha, I would love to see some pics! ^.^

Be sure to hit up The Gumpy Show
